Principles of Course Design

These are tumultuous times in higher education.  Across the country, as colleges and universities are grappling with decisions about whether to offer classes on campus or online, many faculty members find themselves in unfamiliar territory. They know their academic disciplines, courses, and students well, yet may not be quite sure how to move instruction seamlessly and spontaneously from the classroom to their learning management system. This mini course will provide a step-by-step blueprint for planning, designing, and delivering high quality online learning experiences to  students in higher education.  Faculty will be equipped and prepared to maximize the best benefits of onsite and online teaching, blend these benefits together to enhance student learning, and respond to the need for emergency transitions from onsite to online teaching. Enjoy your learning!
