In previous modules we look at the fact that a biblical worldview is vital to our usage of money. First, we need to understanding that God is creator of all things and all things are His for His glory and second, that individuals are his stewards or managers of the property He has allocated to each one in order that He may be glorified. By firmly grasping these two fundamental truths, the Peace of Christ, referred to as contentment, can be rested upon. In Matthew’s Gospel, Jesus claims, “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest” (Matthew 11:28). This module focuses on the pinnacle of a relationship between Christ and those material possessions He has allowed individuals to manage. First the principle of contentment is explored and, second, the characteristics reflected in those who are content, namely 1) having an eternal perspective, 2) making faith-based decisions, 3) seeking biblically-wise counsel, and 4) seeking financially-wise counsel.
